Adaptation (B) | Working With Projection

  1. Hi Lewis - Nice to see you experimenting. However all of your experiments are very 'static and two dimensional' and don't really take advantage of a 3D world (exploiting the medium). Take a look at a piece made by Anita (recent graduate) where she depicted her mothers memories of India. Anita created worlds by overlapping / layering of basic 3D objects and using transparency to hide or reveal different parts of them. I'd also recommend looking at Tom Beg's (another graduate) film The Picture of Dorian Grey (link below). This uses simple 2.5D techniques to create worlds.

  2. agreed - genuinely exciting to see some new workflows on here, but also take a look at Tom's Owl film, which also made use of photographs combined with 3D components - a big personal fave of mine:
